Sitting in Norfolk International Airport awaiting my flight to South Korea. Just a whole mix of bittersweet feelings running through my psyche leading up to this exact moment. I miss the parents, of course, and this was the first time seeing them for a full two weeks. I haven’t seen the parents for a whole two years whilst living my BEST life in Europe (which I’ll release content soon enough). I’m not too sure what to expect from this whole experience, and I like that. Being thrown into the dark sometimes is an exhilarating and needed feeling; I say needed because it’ll expose me to a new stimuli, a new experience that I can learn from. It’s going to be so damn different, the language barrier, the cuisine, the customs, etc…. All a tad intimidating, but exciting to say the least! What am I looking forward out of Korea? I want to meet as many locals and fully embrace the culture as much as I can. Be immersed in the things that the Koreans do on the daily. Really expanding my love for photography is a big one for me, upgrading my gear and learning as much as I can about the skill. Of course, traveling will be a huge component being in South Korea, seeing all the other neighboring countries and islands that I’ll have access to from a simple flight, so HYPED! I believe this is the mindset we need to have! We need to always seek the positives and the better outlooks on a situation that can benefit ourselves in some way. Having a growth mindset vs. a fixed mindset is super imperative to fostering resilience and perseverance in a situation. However, here we goooo!
